Posted February 21, 2007 in Firm News & Events | Back to News Archive

The 2007 NASCAR season recently got underway at Daytona, and Bray Law Firm clients were among those experiencing success at the sport's biggest venue.

Braun Racing fielded three Toyota entries in the Orbitz 300, with Dave Blaney finishing a close second behind 2006 Busch Series champion Kevin Harvick in the 2007 season's inaugural event.  Jason Leffler finished 22nd, while John Andretti finished 39th after being involved in an early accident.  All three Braun Racing entries qualified well, with Leffler qualifying 2nd, Andretti 5th and Blaney 11th.

As for Harvick's winning entry, it was led by Bray Law Firm client  and crew chief Shane Wilson.

In the Chevy Silverado HD 250, the Craftsman Truck Series Daytona event, four clients of the Bray Law Firm qualified.  Of those, Travis Kvapil finished 3rd after leading the most laps in the race and winning the pole position in qualifiying.  Rookie drivers Chase Miller and Kelly Bires were involved in accidents and finished 22nd and 26th, respectively.  Each driver spent time in the top 5 before their accidents, however, and was competitive in their first ever NASCAR race at Daytona International Speedway.  Larry Foyt finished 32nd after being involved in an early accident.
